Loved Tu's place. Got great service. Extremely generous portions. We could have easily shared the serving of Fish and Chips between 2 or even happily had the kids fish and chips. The meals were delicious.Reasonably priced. Spacious and clean.Would happily visit again and recommend to otherd.

Good home cooking. Very nicely presented & huge portions. No one was able to finish their plates. It was worth taking a taxi for 15 people from the Sheraton Denarau Villas, 100 FJD round trip. The small place was packed. We appreciate them taking our reservation for 15 people.

Superb food, great variety on the menu, most items can be ordered as vegetarian if requested, nice cafe/diner atmosphere, and delicious food and shakes! We find great places to go and post them on our website at EatWanderExplore!***edit***Again, we really enjoyed our second visit to Tu's Place. They have wonderful smoothies and an excellent selection of Fijian dishes, as well as the most tasty/popular dishes from Bali, Thailand, and Singapore. We tried the Kokoda and Lolo Fish this time and would say that the main portion of Kokoda was a bit more than we could eat - even though it was an amazing Fijian dish worth trying. Our favorite so far is the Lolo Fish - and we highly recommend it!

wanted to eat local cuisine and this was a great place. not far from the Resort where we were staying at. food was great and definitely cheap in comparison to the freshness of the sea food and the portions of the plates.I have noticed that the Fijians do tend to overcook their fishes so if it tastes like chicken then don't take it personal.Food is great and fresh. Definitely worth the visit.Had a water pitcher and found a fly in it. they replaced it with a new pitcher but that goes to show you how you need to adapt. this is normal for islanders. Many foreigners might be disgusted since it is not a 5 star Michelin restaurant that has passed every health inspection. If you are too picky and too westernized, then stay at the resort or eat at McDonalds. otherwise enjoy this local experience with delicious food.

When you see the inside of Tu's Place you don't think much of the food. The interior design has nothing on the food, I can say that they are two polar opposites. We chose the following dishes:• Kokoda• Special of the day, octopus and fish chowder• Fish parcelsThe Kokoda was devine, very similar to the South American ceviche. Cooked in citrus and coconut milk, it was the first time we'd tried this dish in Fiji and left wanting more. The chowder was creamy and there was an abundance of seafood in the dish, the chefs in the kitchen certainly weren't stingy with the fish. Garlic bread was served as a side, making it extra filling, maybe could have been made lighter with cassava chips. It was the special of the day and definitely understand why it was named so.The fish parcels were steamed in herbs and lemongrass, a bit unnerving but at the same time satisfying. I have experience cooking with banana leaves and you can be sure I will be trying this in my kitchen. I would recommend maybe changing the plain rice for coconut rice or I would add some flavor to the rice or I would add flavoring to the boiled cassava. In my humble opinion. The food did take awhile, but it was worth the wait!! After 9 days in Fiji we couldn't stop raving about this place to everyone we spoke to. We wanted to go back to the restaurant the whole trip.

Fiji has a mix of Indian culture plus with influx of Chinese crowd, it is hard to find really pure local Fijian food. Tu's Place is a gem that serves local food with fresh local produce. Besides fish and chips that you recognise, the other 2 dishes are Lolo fish and Kokoda. Coconut is a strong ingredient in their local food. Love the flavours and taste. Went there twice but do take note dinner time can be very crowded. Make a reservation if possible. They have an extensive menu so you will definitely find something to eat. (:

Lovely people, stellar food. Seriously, I was blown away, we had kakoda 3 times on 3 visits and I was blown away by the balance and flavours, make sure you get it appropriately spicy. Also the rourou balls are a must try... These guys can cook.. I didn't try anything other than the Fijian food other than the pancakes, which were also amazing... Holy hell I will miss this place.
